About us

Vicky Burke, Winchester Reiki

Meet Vicky

My name is Vicky and I have a keen interest in how holistic therapies - that treat the whole person and the cause of an illness, rather than just the symptoms - can be very effective in promoting good health and wellbeing.

Treating the whole person means considering all the elements that make us who we are, including our thoughts, emotions, relationships, environment etc - both from the past and the present.

Reiki is very good at treating the whole person - helping to relieve physical symptoms as well as emotional and mental stressors, gently releasing the suppressed energy that contributes to these conditions.

Reiki has been of huge benefit to me over the years in reducing:

  • stress and anxiety

  • frequency of migraines

  • endometriosis pain

It is my own personal journey with reiki that led me to become a professional practitioner.  I love helping others to discover the amazing power of this form of healing and experience the benefits that it brings.  My reiki journey has certainly helped me to feel better and I love helping my clients to do the same.

Jikiden Reiki

I am a qualified Jikiden reiki practitioner.

Jikiden reiki - meaning reiki that is ‘directly taught’ or passed on - is authentic to the  original Japanese teachings of Mikao Usui, the founder of reiki - with no adaption or western influence.

The practice of Jikiden reiki means that I use my hands to sense areas in the body where there are accumulations of byosen (toxins). I then place and leave my hands on these areas to re-balance the flow of energy.

I'm a member of the Jidien UK Association.
